Questions people ask
01Where does mold come from in Scottsdale homes?
Water, almost always. The EPA (opens in a new tab) puts it simply: control moisture to control mold, and dry water-damaged areas within 24 to 48 hours. AC condensate overflows, plumbing leaks, monsoon roof leaks and water heaters are the common water sources here.
02Can I clean mold myself?
Under about 10 square feet on a hard surface, in most cases yes, and the EPA's cleanup guidance (opens in a new tab) covers that case. Past that size, or when the growth is in the HVAC system, inside a wall, or has already come back after cleaning, it is a professional job.
03When should I call?
When the growth is bigger than about 10 square feet, when it is inside a wall or an air handler, when the water came from sewage or a flood, or when anyone in the house is sensitive. Acting earlier is cheaper than acting later.
04Do you answer calls at night?
Yes. Calls are answered day and night. If all lines are busy, leave a message or send the form and someone will call you back. If water is running right now, shutting it off is the first step.
